British Airways adds third Delhi flight
On 20 September, British Airways inaugurated its third daily flight between Delhi and London Heathrow, arriving at 0600, reinforcing its India commitment. This expansion boosts the airline’s Delhi services to three daily flights, enhancing connectivity and reflecting growing demand between the UK and India.
The carrier will now operate as many as 70 flights each week linking India with London Heathrow in the winter months, which represents a 25 % rise over the previous year. To mark the achievement, it has introduced promotional tickets from Delhi to London starting at INR 230,000 in Club World (business class), delivering discounts of up to INR 30,000.
Increased Connectivity
The timing of the additional route is intended to give passengers smooth transfers at Heathrow to flights headed for the United States and other regions. At the same time, British Airways is marking the 20-year anniversary of CallBA, its fully owned Indian contact centre, which now staffs over 2,000 employees at two Delhi locations.
Established in 2006, CallBA has grown into one of British Airways’ most significant customer service operations globally, supporting customers around the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The success of CallBA is thanks to the incredible talent, expertise and dedication of British Airways’ colleagues in India.
Commitment to India
To date, over 17,000 passengers have taken advantage of the service. At present, British Airways flies to five Indian cities, linking travelers via London Heathrow to an international network that reaches North America, Europe and other regions.
Lisa Tremble, who serves as Chief Customer and People Officer for British Airways, says that India ranks among the airline’s key markets and that adding a third daily flight out of Delhi demonstrates ongoing confidence in the area. Harjinder Kang, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for South Asia and British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, observes that introducing the airline’s third daily London-Delhi service signals a strong endorsement of the future UK-India partnership.

These promotional prices can be secured by reservations placed from 21 September to 25 September 2026, for journeys scheduled between 10 January and 31 March 2027, with discounts applied to round-trip tickets from Delhi to London. In the preceding weeks, the London-Delhi route ranked among the top-searched itineraries on ba.com, indicating robust and rising interest from both nations.
